David Alan Lucas is currently serving as a Board Member and Vice-President of Membership for the St. Louis Writers Guild. David writes novels, short stories, and is working on web serials in the following genres: horror, hard science fiction, space westerns and poetry.  David also writes articles and blogs on writing, self-defense, reviews of dating locations, and music.  In addition to writing, David also gives self-defense seminars, including seminars designed to assist the writer in understanding the mental and physical processes of personal physical conflict. David is a Nidan (second degree) Black Belt in Chinese (or Tracy’s) Kenpo.

Fiction

David Alan Lucas writes in multiple genres.  He sees himself as a story teller, determined not to be restricted to any one label as a writer or any on genre.  He brings to his stories the sense of adventure and explores the human condition regardless if he is writing a spooky horror story or somewhere in deep space where man tries to make a new home for himself.
